HOW TO BE A COOL MALE ROCK AND ROLLER


So I hear you wanna be like Elvis? it’s as easy as 123 and your ABCs’s just follow the instructions below Enjoy these things and you will become GROOVY.



You will need:
  • Comb
  • Clean white shirt
  • Tax over top
  • Undies
  • Black pants
  • socks
  • Clean shoes
  • Rhythm
  • Music
 
How to do:
  1. Place Clean white shirt on
  2. through on you Tax top on
  3. Put your...undies on (make sure there clean)
  4. Pants are next
  5. Bend down if you can and put you sock on
  6. Use the comb and give your hair a flick
You wanna be like me I hear.


7. Do you start up action




8. Turn the music on and you're ready to go

9. Learn the steps and have fun.

8. Turn the music get your partner and dance like you've never dance before

9. Just remember to wear the right footwear so not jandals or socks

10. HAVE FUN

Make yourself feel lose and that's when you know your in the rock and roll and do your favourite song.

Race a speed boat

This is a reflection on a science experiment race a speed boat.


Race a Speedboat
Can you make a paper boat race across the water just by gently touching the surface of the water?
Hypothesis (What I think will happen)
The washing liquid will make bubbles and push the boat along the water.
Materials
Coloured card, washing up liquid, pencil or sharpie, scissors, large container of water.


Method (What we did)
1. Try put the container of water outside or in a place that can get wet.
2. Use the coloured card to make a boat shape (try keep it flat)
3. Put boat on one end of the water
4. put just a dab of washing liquid on your finger and place it behind the boat just a little in the water.
5. WOOSH the boat will go from one side to the other  “Whoa”


Observation (What happened)
The boat went from one side to the other



Conclusion (Why I think it happened)
because as you put your finger in it brook the surface of the water creating a air bubble and the washing liquid is trying to push it away while the water is trying to close up and then the washing liquid win therefore push it away.




Short Experiment to Follow Up
Make Metal Float
Gently place a paperclip on the water’s surface.


Hypothesis (What I think will happen)
it will sink because it is metal paper clip


Observation (What happened)
it sank then we made it float.


Conclusion (Why I think it happened)

it floated because as the hand was underneath it was holding air and keep it up.


Balloon Rockets

Balloon rocket
Hypothesis:
It will fly like a rocket


Materials
balloon, tape, 2 stable objects, string
Observation (What happened)
The balloon went flying across the string like a rocket just like my prediction.



Conclusion (Why I think it happened)
The air from the back of the balloon pushes against the stable objects just like flames pushes against the ground on a rocket.

Mathletics

This is my Mathletics that I made. I have done 3 different designs this was for 2013.




Here is an reflection:
Reflection for Mathletics
Something I was pleased with was finishing my mathletics on time because last year it took me 3 weeks this year only 1 week.
I really enjoyed learning much better measurement because now I have been teaching my brothers.


Something I found hard was thinking of my own design because I didn't want to copy someone else
Something that made me think was is this line straight because it couldn't be crooked or else I couldn't enter
Something I want to get better at is Try to mark different points and create a whole new design

          To do this I can practice more.

Boat or Submarine?


Title  Boat or Submarine  
Scientists: Crighton-Shivom

Question/Goal/ problem
What shape of container will hold the most weight ?

Hypothesis (The shape I have chosen and why I think it is the best shape)
** We will do a pan and make the side really thin so it will float. It will be big to so we can fit heaps of coins.


Materials
Container filled with water, modelling clay, old coins

Method (What I did)
Create a boat out of modelling clay.
I Fill the container with water.
Place the boat carefully onto the water so it floats.
One at a time , put coins carefully into the boat . Count how many coins are in the boat before it sinks.
Observation/ Analyse (What happened and why I think it happened)
**It sank with 8 coins we think it sank because we made the sides a bit thick and it got heavy quite fast so it sank fast


Conclusion  (What I discovered about floating/ sinking )
** The longer surface is better then a long death
Were almost  there!

"Yeah I don't think its a boat yet." 

Centripetal Force

This is a reflection that we did on Centripetal Force.

Hypothesis:
I predict that it will be lighter because it will go on the bottom and create a thin layer. The water could also create a vortex. Maybe a little bit of water will come out at the start.

Results:
Was your prediction correct? What happened and why?
My prediction was only half correct for the little bit of water come out and it did get lighter because stayed on the bottom with a thin layer.


The water stayed on the bottom and the Centripetal Force keep it up. when it got higher it got lighter by the time I was almost finished I started to lose grip.
